Barcode Reading. All versions of Video Shoppe and Video Shoppe Deluxe for Windows work with USB or Keyboard wedge barcode readers. You do not have to have a barcode reader but you can add one at any time.

Comes Standard with Barcode Printing Program used to print large quantities of barcodes at once.  The barcode program does interface with a custom Eltron barcode printer that does EPL1 codes. The barcode program will allow you to export your inventory and customer files to ASCII, a universal file format that can be used in spreadsheets and database programs.

Video Utility Software is standard with Video Deluxe, ( Not in Video Shoppe ). The Video Utility allows easy manipulation of your rental inventory. The Video Utility software allows you to change the price of all of one kind of movie at once, transfer a group of movies from one type to another, delete a group of movies, change rating types and much more like;

• Make all of one movie type taxable, or non-taxable.
• Make all of one movie type eligible to rent free.
• Change all the settings for one type of movie pricing at once.
• Move blocks of one kind of movie to another.
• You can use your laser or ink jet printer to print Barcode labels/name labels DVD covers.

Computer:

Recommend the latest PC with Windows XP you can afford. 

If you have an older computer with Windows 98, Me or 2000 it should work fine. Just run the demo and see how it performs on your computer. We have had customers use a Pentium 133MHz!

Printer:

Ink Jet or Laser for reports.

          For receipts, 40 Column printer, Dot matrix, like Epson FX-800 or Okidata 320

Ink Jet or Laser

          For Barcode printing, Eltron Omega.

          With our full version inkjet and laser printers to printer barcodes.

Memory:

64MB RAM or more. 

Disk Space:

120 MB for program, Recommend at least 4GB.
