Selling Coupons What are coupons? What we call coupons are sometimes referred to as punch cards. The ability to sell groups of movies for a unit price, to increase frequency of rentals from the same customer. Coupons are setup in the Inventory section. To sell a previously made coupon, press F10 and a list of coupons will display. Press ENTER on the coupon of choice by using your cursor keys. The coupon will now display on the POS table and the sales price will be added to the subtotal.
You may go ahead and rent movies right away and they will be free (if qualified) and the free rentals will be subtracted from the coupon, even before you sell it. This is great if you have a coupon in the paper for a rent one get one free. You can scan in the coupon number (or type it in), then just rent a movie. By purchasing a coupon the customer is given that amount of free movies minus the number of movies you've already rented using the coupon.
