Read Me First

This program like all programs at VMT Software are very easy to use. The main thing is to not over-think or over-complicate things. In most cases, everything is on the screen... just stare at it for a bit.

If you want to, you can just go ahead and start playing with the program. However, you may find it easier to do a few things first to get you started on the right track.

We recommend you read some parts in the help file or the book in order to get a head start on things. Don't worry about completely understanding everything you read, because when you are in the program, you can press F1 for help, at any time, to find out about that area.

There are some places that need to be set up before you can do much of anything. The most important is the Company Setup Form, and More Company Info. Take your time and set those items up first.

If you are entering your inventory from scratch, you should actually read through the inventory section first, even before you enter an inventory item. You will save yourself a lot of frustration by understanding the concept of the inventory form. You must enter some inventory in order to complete any transactions.

After that, you may go ahead and jump right in and try to rent or sell something to a customer. Remember, that when you process the transactions, that data is stored. You can test your pricing without completing a transaction.

If you want to know how the entire program works in just a few pages, and some details about databases and things, we suggest you read in the General Help:

Browse Tables

Editing Forms

and

Date Range Selections

After that, try adding some inventory and customers.

We are sure you will find this program both useful and reliable for years to come.
