In Video Shoppe, inventory must be present in order for anything to be rented or sold. There are several different kinds of inventory, sales, rentals, tan packages, tanning beds, hours, coupons, and memberships. There may be more added in the future. However, there is really only one inventory, and one inventory file. The difference is the type of inventory. We act on selling a membership differently that a regular sales item. If you try and edit or add a sales inventory, the screen(s) will look different than that of the membership item. But because they can both be sold, they are an inventory item, even though a membership is not a physical item.
