You may edit employee's hours. Make sure the total hours is a number and not a ##.##, because that indicates you have a wrong date and time range. The sign in date must be earlier than the sign out date, and the combination cannot go over 24 hours, although it can start on one day and end on the next day. Type in the dates and times just like you see above.
Here is a trick: for the date, you can just type in the month and day, like 4/23 or 12/2, and it will assume this year. You can also type in April, 23, 06 or apr,23,06, and it will interpret correctly. Try it.
