Customer Alerts

Once you select a customer to rent or sell to, one of many alerts may be displayed. Note: if they are marked with an ( * ) asterisk, they are optional alerts and may be turned on or off in the Company Setup Form.

 

Late Charges

 

After you have entered a customer ID number and pressed ENTER you may hear a sound and see a screen that gives you a late charge notice. You can see the amount of the late charge due by looking at the top right part of your screen. Video Shoppe makes a fuss about late fees so your clerks will notice that you have late charges that should be paid to the store. This option may not be turned off.

 

Customer Memo *

 

A memo screen displays automatically when a customer has something entered into their memo. This can be used to alert clerks to conditions or notes about a customer. Press any key to continue. Once you are in the POS 2 screen, you can edit the memo by pressing or clicking the F6 button.

 

Reservation Alert *

 

Displays a screen to let you know this customer has a movie on reserve.

 

Membership Expired *

 

If the customer has purchased a membership that can expire, a screen will display to allow you to notify your customer. Remember, there are memberships that do not expire.

 

Credit Card Expired *

 

This alert notifies you if you customer has a credit card, and it is expired. It will not notify you if there is no credit card information in the credit card field.

 

Money Owed on Account *

 

If there is a balance owed or you owe the customer money (due to a refund), this alert will display.

 

Birthday Alert *

 

If today is the customers birthday, an alert will display and the program may sing Happy Birthday if your sounds are setup correctly.
