Fly Fishing Assistant has the ability to attach PCX or GIF pictures to your own fly, lure, camping equipment, or whatever you enter into the program. Use your scanner or camera for your own Pictures. AND NOW you can add fly patterns to your inventory items and display those patterns with the picture display. For those that don't use flies, this feature does not get in the way. It is unobtrusive. |

Insects and patterns can be tied together. Want to see what patterns work with what insect? Click on the insect and the Patterns Tab. All patterns you have that work with that insect are listed!

You need Fly Fishing Assistant to.... Keep information about flies, lures, camping equipment, and more. Information can include cost, date purchased, vendor, category, location, what it is used for, color, size, weight, notes, and much more.
Your items are organized into groups. A group can be a fishing vest, a box of items, a room of items or just about anything!
Pictures can be attached to each item. Some pictures come with the program as examples.
The reports that can be printed are excellent for insurance purposes. Using this feature can save you from buying items you already have, but could not find. It will also save you from not having the one item you needed on that fishing trip.
Detailed logs can be kept about your fishing trips. Fishing logs can both be viewed in one table for one trip.
Fishing logs have topic, distance, species, fish caught, search word, other activities, air temperature, water conditions, presentation, weather conditions, what was used, a large section for notes and a lot more.
Logs can be the single entry type, good for a quick trip to your favorite river. You may also have multiple logs under one trip so you can track all the stops you made on a trip.
This screen gives you access to trip information. Name and date of the trip. Logs and expenses.
Expenses can be added to each trip. Reports can be printed out so expenses can be split between a group of people that went on a trip. Expenses are grouped into categories that you may create. For instance; gas, food, flies, lures, etc. When you print the expense report for a trip, it prints the total of each category and a complete total.

Sportsman's Manager will let you create a list of items to take on your trip. You may have many lists, one for each trip. Print the list and use it to check off items when your packing up the trailer. Remember the last trip you made? It would have been nice if you'd remembered...
This is a simple but effective order tracking list. Enter all the items you want to order, and when you are ready to place the order, just read it off the screen. Orders are tracked by vendor and date ordered. When your order comes in, you may receive it into an existing box-group of items, or into an new box-group. Your item count will automatically be updated. This is a big help when ordering allot of small items so you can double check your order when it arrives.
Enter information on articles, author, title, date, page number, where it is stored, special notes, and more. You can enter a key word to search by, or search by the article title. The key word search feature allows you to look up all articles that have that key word. I.E. Steelhead, Deer, Etc.
You can attach a URL in the article if it's on the Internet and with one click access that article.
Being in a fly swap or hosting a fly swap is great!
Swaps your in...remembering when the flies are supposed to be done, if you mailed them and the address where they are to be sent, that's another thing! Not only is this all tracked for you, but you can enter the type of fly you are supposed to tie and how many your tied so far.

Swaps your hosting.... who's in the swap, have the flies come in, what fly they tied, their address to mail them back, when the swap is over all tracked for you!
Almost all swaps want toe tags on your flies. So you can write them out? What a pain! You can use lots of programs to make your own, most of them a pain to use. There are three different toe tag reports you can choose from, one with name only, one with nickname only, and one with name, nickname and fly name.
This is a phone list with name, address, city, state, zip, phone, and interest to contact friends and associates.
